Tias: Did you know José Saramago lived here ? Lanzarote

José Saramago, born in 16 of November 1922 in Azinhaga Portugal,
and died in 18 of June 2010 in Tias Spain.
Nobel Prize for Literature 1998.
José Saramago at a certain point in his life chose Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands, precisely in the municipality of Tias to live.
Certainly inspired by the charm of this island, he wrote notes from which a book entitled "The Notebooks of Lanzarote" would emerge.
His house in Tias can be visited, many tourists who love literature and others visit his house every year, a house made of books as he himself defined it.
Tias is a Spanish municipality in the south-east of the island of Lanzarote not far from one of the most tourist areas of the island Puerto del Carmen.
